Directly under the hood of every V6 trim sits 6-cylinders and 280 horsepower, along with 265 lb.-ft. of torque. The direct injection V6 is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission fitted with Tiptronic and 4MOTION all-wheel drive, as are the TDI and Hybrid trims.
If it’s diesel you want, go for the TDI lineup. Here it’s a 3.0 liter V6 Clean Diesel job worth 240 horses and an unbelievable 406 lb.-ft. of torque.

Touareg offers 32.1 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are upright; space expands to 64 cubes with seats folded flat.

2013 standards include 4-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability & traction control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and six airbags. Navigation trims offer a rearview camera, and parking sensors are added to Executive models.
Crash test ratings are yet to be announced for 2013, but history tells us Touareg will do just fine.
