Ahh, so we’ve finally reached a place where inside jokes are shared by a couple billion people weaving the inter-webs each day. I’m talking of course about memes (pronounced like meme), the at times funny, often ridiculous, and always nonsensical cultural oddities that have inundated the internet in recent times. Anyone who has visited any social site or accidently clicked on the wrong Google search pic has probably seen these things, but for the uninformed here’s the technical term:
A meme is an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.
