Most individuals who have seen Jaguar’s XK lineup up close haven’t been able to sleep since. What does excellence in automotive technology look like? Take a look.
Jaguar XK Trims and Feature Highlights
The XK is a luxury performance coupe/convertible available in XK, XKR, and SKR-S trim levels. Beginning at $84,500 and topping out somewhere in the atmosphere of $150,000, the 2013 XK is not your neighborhood hot rod. The term supercar can very well be applied, especially when you consider the three variants of Jaguar’s 5.0 liter V8 beginning with the ‘base’ XK’s 385 horses and topping out at a face-flapping 550 HP- courtesy of the XKR-S. Stylistically you won’t find anything sexier than XK’s athletic exterior lines and posh, if a bit enclosed, interior vibe. Simply put, the 2013 XK gives drivers the exotic feel they’re looking for- taming a Jaguar should be an adventure, after all.
Jag has fitted XK with plenty of luxury standards and optional add-ons but the real thrill lies in superior handling and monstrous performance. Whatever deviousness you think XK is capable of upon first sight, it exceeds it.

Jaguar XK Performance
XK shoppers have three versions of a 5.0 liter V8 for 2013. Starting with the XK Coupe/Convertible, you’ll receive 385 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque breathing fire through natural aspiration.
XKR and XKR-S models up the ante with a supercharged version of the 5.0 liter; drivers of the XKR control 510 horsepower and 451 lb.-ft., while adding the ‘S’ designation with the XKR-S allows for 550 horsepower and 502 lb.-ft. The XKR-S is truly a performance spectacle, boasting a 4.2 0 to 60 time and allowing drivers to push the limits at 186 MPH. And your aural senses will be penetrated by a symphony of sound that you won’t grow tired of anytime soon.
Jaguar pairs all models with rear wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring Jaguar Sequential Shift paddles for manual control.
Jaguar XK Fuel Economy
EPA estimates tag XK coupes at 16/24/19 (city/highway/combined) MPG while XK convertibles drop slightly to 16/22/18. Supercharged XKR and XKR-S coupes and convertibles drop one city and one overall MPG each for numbers of 15/22/17.
Jaguar XK Interior Highlights
Leather, wood, and metallic trim- all the features that whisper importance are to be found inside XK, and it’s all topped off by the Phosphor Blue hue of the inviting dash. Drivers are allowed to concentrate on what’s important by utilizing wheel mounted controls or the 7 inch infotainment touch screen. You won’t want to use XK as a family hauler, though parading through city streets will attract plenty of family-making attention. If you’re not driving or living it up riding shotgun then you’ll have to squeeze into a backseat that features just 27.6 inches of legroom (compared to 43” up front). Another viable option would be the trunk, which spans a respectable 11.7 cubic feet in the coupe and 11.1 for convertible trims; top down XJ convertible trunks still offer 7.1 cubes.
Jaguar XK Safety
All 2013 XK models come standard with antilock stability/traction control, front & side airbags, and a rearview camera. The Advanced Technology package adds adaptive cruise control and Forward Alert (collision warning) system.
Safety ratings are not available for the 2013 Jaguar XK.
Jaguar XK Summary

Despite a few interior space issues, the 2013 XK is a prime choice for anyone looking to experience the good life via automotive prowess.
